Ever wondered what kind of skills to add to your resume? We’ll review two different types of skills, hard skills and soft skills.

Hard skills are developed, learned and quantifiable. Here are some examples:

  • Proficiency in a foreign language

  • Certificates and achievements

  • Computer skills

  • Skills that are specific to the job field you are applying to

Soft skills are attributes that you can contribute to a company/organization. Here are some examples:

  • Communication skills

  • Leadership roles

  • Time management

  • Self-management skills

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Problem-solving skills
