𝐎𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Senior Probation Officer
𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐑: B.S. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Juvenile Justice
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐑? Growing up I saw how the system and society mistreated or judge convicted felons and people suffering with substance abuse issues, which made me want to do something about it.

We are all human beings and have all made mistakes, but we cannot continue to condemn people for their mistakes. It is important for people to create a healing environment for these individuals to be successful and reduce their risk for recidivism. I feel I have been able to do so in my current field.
𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒: For current middle and high school students, I think it is important to volunteer or shadow someone who works in the careers that interest you. Ask questions and utilize the resources around you to help stir you in the right direction.
