๐„๐ƒ๐”๐‚๐€๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐๐€๐‹ ๐๐‘๐Ž๐†๐‘๐€๐Œ๐’ ๐…๐Ž๐‘ ๐“๐‡๐ˆ๐’ ๐‚๐€๐‘๐„๐„๐‘: B.S. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Juvenile Justice


๐–๐‡๐€๐“ ๐‹๐„๐ƒ ๐˜๐Ž๐” ๐“๐Ž ๐“๐‡๐ˆ๐’ ๐‚๐€๐‘๐„๐„๐‘? Growing up I saw how the system and society mistreated or judge convicted felons and people suffering with substance abuse issues, which made me want to do something about it.

We are all human beings and have all made mistakes, but we cannot continue to condemn people for their mistakes. It is important for people to create a healing environment for these individuals to be successful and reduce their risk for recidivism. I feel I have been able to do so in my current field.


๐€๐ƒ๐•๐ˆ๐‚๐„ ๐…๐Ž๐‘ ๐‚๐”๐‘๐‘๐„๐๐“ ๐Œ๐ˆ๐ƒ๐ƒ๐‹๐„ ๐€๐๐ƒ ๐‡๐ˆ๐†๐‡ ๐’๐‚๐‡๐Ž๐Ž๐‹ ๐’๐“๐”๐ƒ๐„๐๐“๐’: For current middle and high school students, I think it is important to volunteer or shadow someone who works in the careers that interest you. Ask questions and utilize the resources around you to help stir you in the right direction.
